A Teenage girl was killed by a train on the Grantham-Skegness line yesterday.
A British Transport Police spokesman said officers were called to the line at Heckington, shortly after 8pm on Wednesday, February 25, following reports of a person being hit by a train.
She said: “Colleagues from Lincolnshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service also attended, and a 17-year-old local girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The girl’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and her family has been informed.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
