Grantham swimmers stormed the ASA English National Championships in Sheffield last week with all six qualifiers making finals in the prestigious event.
Fresh from his medal-winning success at the British Championships the previous week, 14-year-old William Hawkes was on top form again, winning gold in the 400IM with a 9- second PB and 13 seconds faster than any swimmer in Grantham club history.
Will rounded off his dream fortnight by scooping a silver medal in the 400m freestyle.
Eighteen-year-old Sophie Culpin made her national debut by making the final in the 200m butterfly. She swam even better in the final – winning a silver medal with a PB, and a club and county record.
Thomas Lewis and Eleanor Lythgoe both swam strongly and made finals in the 200m backstroke and 100m butterfly respectively.
Molly Colbert smashed a club record with her 100m freestyle heat swim and finished a very respectable 6th place in the final.
Hayley Milne competed in five different events and made finals in two 100m breaststroke and 100m fly – where she finished sixth.
