Looking for the final resting place of RAF Warrant Officer Włodzimierz Mirosław Mudry.
Known to people as Willy , he served with the 1st Bomber Squadron Polish Air Force during the German invasion and escaped via Romania and France to England.
Served with RAF 79 and 87 Sqqns before joining Polish 316 then 285 and 286 Sqns RAF before going to Polish 16 PFTS at RAF Newton.
Leaving the Polish Air Force in 1945 he joined the RAF in 1948 taking his commision in 1951, he servered in the RAF till 1967 when he went to work for Dunlop.
He died in Grantham June 1988. A Polish researcher is trying to trace his final resting place.
