It starts on the 7th March and continues, every Thursday, until 28th March at Grantham Museum, 1pm – 5pm – a 4 session course…16 hours for £48, concessions available. You’ll get a discount if you are over 65 and/or a member of Heritage Lincolnshire.
What’s the course about?
“Join Liz Bates, the Trust’s CEO and expert on local historic buildings, to discover the diverse architectural history of the county. This course will introduce the architectural history of Lincolnshire, from medieval manor houses and grand country houses, to the vernacular buildings found in many of county’s villages and market towns. We will consider the building materials used locally and their role in shaping the character of different parts of the Lincolnshire. We’ll also explain the meanings of a range of architectural terms, helping you to read the buildings around you and interpret their history”.
