Melissa Darcey says…
Tomorrow, Thursday 14th October at 6.30pm there will be a public consultation on the closure of Grantham A&E and the removal of Acute Medicine from our Hospital as well as the centralisation of time critical services Lincolnshire….this is the first Consultation exercise announced for Grantham.
We know that we have been lied to for years about the future of our Hospital and our town is so evidentally passionate about keeping our services within our local hospital!
So here’s our call to action –
We will be holding a static protest on St Peter’s Hill Green starting at 5pm on Thursday 14th October, we aim to make as much noise as possible as we join together in unison to say NO!!! to cuts to our local healthcare services!
Fighting 4 Life Lincolnshire is and will always remain a grassroots NHS campaign group with no links or affiliation to any political party. We are not party political because that would exclude people.
However the NHS was born in politics and the law and it can only be saved by politics and the law. We encourage everyone to look beyond party politics and question if their party is truly a friend of the NHS. The time has come to look beyond traditional party loyalties.
Fighting 4 Life Lincolnshire believe the NHS should be returned to public hands as a comprehensive health service accessible to everyone with no emphasis on ability to pay.
We continue to campaign for everyone to have access to high quality local healthcare services as part of a fully funded, publicly owned, publicly provided, managed and delivered National Health Service.
We are honoured to work with national campaign groups like 999 Call for the NHS , Health Campaigns Together and other local campaign groups up and down the country who share our vision.
