Funhouse Comedy returns to the Guildhall Arts Centre Ballroom, on Thursday December 30th for a great night of fun and laughter.
Topping the bill is the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who has appeared on TV on The Russell Howard Hour, was the support act on Michael McIntyre’s recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates everyone.
Opening the night will be Presenter, Broadcaster, Writer, Actor and Comedian Ian Stone. An International comedian, including performing for the troops, he has made numerous TV and Radio appearances including ‘Mock The Week’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ and ‘Saturday Live’. He wrote for ‘The Omid Djalili show’ on BBC1, ‘The Sketch Show’ on ITV and ‘Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression’ on BBC 1. Audiences can’t get enough of his edgy and challenging approach, which is supported by a relaxed and excusatory manner.
Also appearing is Indian Geordie, Raul Kohli, a finalist in English
Comedian of the Year 2018 and nominee for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival 2019. A bubbly, high-energy comic with very comical stories about his culture and upbringing.
Completing the line-up will be the wonderfully weird, original and clever Joey Page who has appeared on TV’s ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’.
Compere for the night will be the cheerful and energetic Spiky Mike.
Tickets are £11 in advance
