Funhouse Comedy Club

January 31 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Thursday January  31st

Funhouse Comedy Club launches the new season with another great night of laughter, at the Guildhall Arts Centre Ballroom on Thursday January 31st.

Topping the bill is comedian, writer, radio broadcaster and TV presenter Nick Page, semi-finalist on this year’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and winner of English Comedian of the Year 2017. The seemingly indestructible, larger than life, award winning English comic, whose life is a series of disasters, somehow turning into unlikely triumphs. No gimmicks, no PowerPoint, no props and no flipcharts. Just stories and belly laughs, he is a master of his art.

Opening the night will be the intrinsically funny Lloyd Griffith, who has supported Jack Whitehall on tour and made numerous TV appearances including as regular host on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM and on Comedy Central Live at The Comedy Store. As a choirboy in Grimsby, he sang on ‘The National Lottery, with Dudley Moore who played the piano. Then later in life sang backing vocals on a Bee Gees album. A professional singer but always a natural jester he turned to stand-up and with his down-to-earth cynicism and lively attitude, he enthrals his audience.

Completing the line-up is finalist in ‘English Comedian of Year’ 2017, the instantly likeable, confident and cheeky Clayton Jones, with his observational comedy and tales of everyday family life.

Compere for the night will be the cheerful and energetic Spiky Mike.

Tickets are £11 in advance
