Julia says…
Returning from a few days up north last week, I took a taxi from Grantham railway station to my home off Harlaxton Road.
We get to the lights at Harlaxton Road , where there is ‘no left turn’.
Why not for heaven’s sake. Instead we had to go through four sets of lights, each one with the meter ticking, until we got under the bridge.
It is bureaucracy gone mad!
There is a NO left turn there because pedestrians have right of way to cross the road when Station Road lights are on green from Station Road to the island in the centre of Harlaxton Road and then on the path on Harlaxton Road and visa versa. Now you know the reason for this Julia.
