At around 1930 on Friday the 9th October, three men entered a couple’s home on Gregory Close in Harlaxton.
The couple (aged in their 60’s / 70’s) were threatened with violence but not physically harmed. Two handbags were taken containing bank cards along with costume jewellery and some cash.
All three men are white and thought to have spoken with Irish accents.
The first man is described as being in his 20’s and between 5’6″ and 5’8″ in height. He had an athletic build. He is described as being “baby faced” with a pale complexion. He was wearing a light grey top.
The other two men are both estimated at being between 6’1 and 6’3″ tall. Their builds are described as large and muscular. Aged between 25 and 30, both men were wearing dark clothing and baseball hats.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101. They would like to hear from anyone who has seen men matching these descriptions – or anyone who has seen suspicious individuals in the area prior to the incident. Similarly Officers would like to know about any suspicious vehicles in the area.
DC Adam Battersby said, “We can only imagine how this couple felt in the hands of these despicable men who have threatened them in their own home. They were incredibly brave and thankfully they were not hurt. It is vital that we have every piece of information that the community can provide in order to lead us to the perpetrators and bring them to justice.”
Call 101 with incident number 429 of the 9th October – or in an emergency always call 999.
