Police have appealed for any witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the A52 between Bottesford and Grantham yesterday afternoon (Monday 13th April).
Emergency services were called just before 5.30pm to the scene on the A52 between Sedgebrook and Muston, near to Cox’s Walk Farm, where a silver Land Discovery had been in collision with a grey Vauxhall Astra.
The driver of the Land Rover, a 60-year-old man from the Nottinghamshire area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Astra, a 22-year-old man from North Yorkshire, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has subsequently been bailed pending further inquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw either the silver Land Rover or the grey Vauxhall Astra before the collision or saw the actual collision to contact them via the Lincolnshire Police Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855, or on 101 quoting incident 338 of 13/04/2015.
This brings to eight the number of people killed on Lincolnshire’s roads so far this calendar year.
