This is Grantham Orchestra, but when? What do you know about it?

 A Christmas party at Harrowby Infants circa early 80s…Wayne Eaton, Lee Spencer, Abigail Mackley, Natalie Edwards to name a few.

Time was when the national cycling event, The Milk Race, came through Grantham, before organisers were discouraged from doing so.

This shows one of the riders in 1984.

Do you recognise where?

 

The Griffin Inn, Whatton, since demolished and replaced by houses.

 

John Peatman sent us this Christmas Party picture. But whose is it and where? Do you recognise anyone?

 

We are pretty sue this is the stirring of the Christmas pudding at Grantham Hospital.

Not sure of the year, but probably the 1960s.

Do you remember this shop? Where was it?

The picture has been sent to us by David Layne, now living in the USA.

His dad used to be the manager here in the 1950s.

It is on the corner of Market Place & Butchers Row – where greengrocer Buster is now.
