POLICE have confirmed that the motorcylcist who died at the scene following a collision on the A52 Nottingham Road, Sedgebrook, is 51-year-old Brian Elrick , of Grantham.
The accident happened at about 8pm on Saturday.
His black KTM motorcycle was involved in a head-on collision with green Ford Focus Estate driven by a 45-year-old man from Carlton, Notts.
A blue Toyota Verso driven by a Grantham man was also involved but was not damaged.
The four people in the Ford were taken to Queens Medical Centre with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed until 1:30am on Sunday whilst police investigators carried out their inquiries and the vehicles were recovered.
Police are still appealing for witnesses.They are especially keen to speak to several potential witnesses who helped out at the scene but left without their details being recorded.
