Experience the magic of Christmas with family and friends at National Trust’s beautiful Belton House in Lincolnshire’s glittering outdoor illuminated Trail.
What better way to walk off festive feasts and reunite than to enjoy an enchanting walk in the fresh air with loved ones?
Surround yourself with more than a million twinkling lights, colourful trees and amazing illuminated installations, all choreographed to a soundtrack of much-loved seasonal music around the grounds.
Matthew Findlay, Head of UK Trails for Raymond Gubbay, said: “As the festive holiday approaches, Christmas at Belton is the perfect place to spend an evening with all the family.
“The beautifully crafted installations are interwoven with the landscape of the garden to create a magical, memorable experience for all ages.”
The trail is open every day until January 2, apart from Christmas Day, providing plenty of opportunity to visit either during the festive period or in the New Year.

Festive facts for this year’s trail:
- Over 1.5km of pea lights are used on the trail
- Over 16km of cable
- 36m of lighting is used in the Christmas Cathedral
- 144 candles are lit in the fire garden each night, almost 6,000 for the show run.
- It takes over 2,500hrs to install the trail
There are picture perfect colour changing spheres, trees interwoven with neon light, an immersive triangular tunnel filled with colour changing hues, giant water lilies, singing trees and a tunnel of hearts leading to larger-than-life mistletoe, so there’s plenty of selfie moments along the way.
Independent street food vendors bring a delicious twist to tasty treats on offer as well as seasonal favourites including toasted marshmallows and mulled wine.
