LINCOLNSHIRE Community Foundation is keen to receive applications from volunteer-led community groups in Lincolnshire who can apply for up to £5,000 from the Evan Cornish Grassroots Fund
Projects funded to date include running costs for mental health support groups; projects that help older people live independently; support for prisoners and their families; youth activities in rural/deprived areas; a job club; some sporting activities; dementia support; stimulating opportunities for older people; support for people living with domestic violence; activities for people with disabilities; food larders; bereavement care, advice and support; support and advice for carers.
The family, which runs the fund, will consider re-applications in an effort to assist with sustainability for those groups they have already helped.
Although covering the whole county, priority will continue to be given to projects that meet the criteria and operate in East Lindsey District.
The next closing date for receipt of applications is on 1 February 2015.
Foundation staff are available to visit your project to find out more and advise about form filling etc. To obtain an Application Form or to chat about your project, please contact Foundation Grants Manager Sue Fortune on 01529 305825.
Sue said: “The family is pleased with the difference their funding has made to date and would like to continue supporting local projects, run by local people living in the County (including North and North East Lincolnshire).
“The process is very straight forward and I would welcome the chance to have a word with you about your proposed project.”
