Grantham’s premier cross country challenge at Belton International Horse Trials took place yesterday, and was a great success
Organised bu Grantham Running Club, 309 started with about 60 running with digs. The very muddy course made it really hard. We’re looking forward to next years already.
Sadly someone damaged Belmont tower the previous night and messed with quite a few signs the organisers put up but that aside it was a good day.
Profits are going to Bransby Horses near Lincoln. Full results on http://www.granthamrunningclub.co.uk/gc/results2018.php
The runners followed a horse and rider for the first part.
The Grantham Cup 10k trail race is integrated into the world-renowned three day Belton International Horse Trial event. It is a 10k cross-country race, run through the beautiful grounds of the Belton House Estate near Grantham, Lincolnshire. The route takes in a mixture of gradients and offers some stunning views from the heights of Belmont Tower, as well as passing through the majestic deer park.
