Wednesday December 27th
Funhouse Comedy Club returns to the Guildhall Arts Centre Ballroom, Grantham on Wednesday December 27th for another night of fun and laughter.
Headlining is International stand-up comedian Paul Sinha, currently one of the ‘chasers’ on ITV’s quiz show The Chase and writer/host/presenter of Paul Sinha’s History Revision on Radio 4.
The eloquent and intelligent ex-GP has found the perfect balance of mixing politics with comedy. His one-liners are delivered with the crisp clarity of cut glass and engaging warmth, creating a hugely entertaining and fascinating set.
Support from Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV’s ‘Show Me The Funny’, BBC3’s Bizarre Crime, The Wright Stuff, Sky News and BBC Look North and at the Edinburgh Festival, had one of his jokes voted 3rd best in ‘Dave’s Funniest Joke of The Fringe’. Following the success of the first series of ‘It’s a Fair Cop’, BBC Radio 4 agreed to a second series, where he talked about more case studies. A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the audience laugh until they ache.
Also appearing is Pete Phillipson, originally from Lincolnshire but based in Manchester, he has been building a name for himself on the circuit as a very funny act over the last few years, mixing fast paced observations and routines with wonderful characterisations.
Completing the line-up will be author and comedian Sara Barron with her amusing and interesting tales.
