Local theatre company, Treasure Productions are putting on their first major show in July and tickets have just gone on sale!
Early bird tickets are available until the 11th May at £10 (plus booking fee) and £12 thereafter from www.treasureproductions.co.uk/tickets.
The show has recently been touring the UK celebrating the 20th anniversary of its debut on Broadway and is set in 1989 New York City. It follows the lives of a group of friends dealing with love, life, and friendship. Featuring all the songs from the original Broadway production, including Seasons of Love (525,600 minutes) the cast have been in rehearsal this year and will be performing Jonathan Larson’s hit musical for the first time together in July.
The story follows film director Mark, and his musician roommate Roger, who has recently discovered he has AIDS. Maureen and Joanne, Collins and Angel, Benny and Mimi all feature throughout with a great supporting cast.
Many people who don’t know RENT think it is a story about angry people shouting at each other. This couldn’t be further from the truth. It is a story about love. Not an idealised love, but every aspect of love. The good and bad times, the highs and the lows.
The show takes place at Grantham College Refectory between Wednesday 18th July and Saturday 21st July.
Tickets are available now (£12 / £10 early bird until 11/5/18) from www.treasureprofuctions.co.uk/tickets
